SOLAR ROOF TOP PANEL SYSTEM

A rooftop photovoltaic power station, or rooftop PV system, is a photovoltaic system that has its electricity-generating solar panels mounted on the rooftop of a residential or commercial or any other building or structure. The PV system adds power to the grid during peak daylight hours so it can be used when it is most likely to be needed.


GRID SYSTEMS

A grid-connection will allow you to save more money with solar panels through better eciency rates, net metering, plus lower equipment and installation costs. Batteries, and other stand-alone equipment, are required for a fully functional o-grid solar system which add to costs as well as maintenance. Grid-tied solar systems are therefore generally cheaper and simpler to install. Your solar panels will often generate more electricity than what you are capable of consuming. With net metering, homeowners can put this excess electricity onto the utility grid instead of storing it themselves with batteries.

GROSS METERING

In gross metering, entire energy generated by the solar PV system is fed back directly into the utility grid. In this case, the owner gets incentives based on feed-in taris proportional to the energy fed back to the grid.

NET METERING

Net metering takes into account the dierence of excess energy fed back to the grid and total energy consumed from the grid by the system owner

OFF GRID SYSTEMS

An o-grid solar system (o-the-grid/ standalone) is the obvious alternative to one that is grid-tied. For homeowners that have access to the grid, o-grid solar systems are usually out of question. To ensure access to electricity at all times, o-grid solar systems require battery storage and a backup generator (if you live o-the-grid). On top of this, a battery bank typically needs to be replaced after 10 years. Batteries are complicated, expensive and decrease overall system eciency.

 

ASSURED POWER PURCHASE AGREEMENT:

The power distribution and purchase companies owned by state and central governments guarantee the purchase of solar power as and when it is produced. The PPAs* oer high price equal to that of peaking power on demand for the solar power which is secondary power or negative load and an intermittent energy source on daily basis. URJAFORALL recommends that client uses a Grid Synchronous Solar Power system that will reduce the demand of electricity from the grid (MSEDCL) and the solar system will pay for itself over the medium term by significantly lowering electricity costs. This Solar system will feed electricity directly into the building’s main/LT panel and result in reduction of annual electricity bill. Excess units are exported back to the grid through net-metering scheme
